looking backforward
joey July 29th, 2005 in presidencyi was poking around in the attic the other day and boy was i surprised to find a whole box full of my old journals! i stumbled upon this gem of an entry from 1998 and decided to share it:
dear diary,my predictions for 2005:
swing music is big right now, but in 2005 it will be HUGE! instead of aerobics or soccer people will just swing dance for exercise and all the bars will be replaced with prohibition-era speakeasies (but they probably won’t be historically accurate.) i’ve been listening to this brian setzer cd on repeat for like 3 months now! jump, jive and whale (sic)!
furbies will outnumber people.
seth green will be a huge star (which he totally deserves.)
i’ll finally acheive my lifelong dream of meeting my hero ronald reagan at the world trade center in new york city! he’ll probably give me a medal of achievement and after the ceremony ray charles will play “georgia on my mind.”
LOL! what was i thinking?
